Fans of the heartland comedy series Dupahiya have reason to rejoice as Prime Video has officially announced its renewal for a second season. The show, set in the fictional, crime-free village of Dhadakpur, captivated audiences with its sharp humor, memorable characters, and portrayal of small-town life.
The ensemble cast features Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Bhuvan Arora, Sparsh Shrivastava, Shivani Raghuvanshi, and Yashpal Sharma in pivotal roles. To share the exciting news, Prime Video released a delightful video on Instagram where the cast members, including Gajraj Rao and Renuka Shahane, perform a playful song announcing the new season. The caption reads, “Koi daatega nahi na? Kyunki humne Dupahiya Season 2 mangwa liya hai” (No one will scold, right? Because we have ordered Dupahiya Season 2.

Creators and executive producers Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “Collaborating with Prime Video and bringing Dupahiya to life has been an incredible journey, made even more special by the overwhelming love from audiences.” They further added, “With season 2, we plan on taking things up a notch—bigger laughs, funnier moments, more thrills, and even more surprises.”
Season one of Dupahiya was directed by Sonam Nair and produced under the banner of Bombay Film Cartel LLP. The series was created and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg. While the release date for the second season has not yet been announced, fans eagerly await the return to Dhadakpur to see what new adventures and humorous twists lie ahead.
